Heart of Darkness The friendly Orb.

Fegger was the king of that forest, he was , and I could understand why. Yes, he may have fleas but we all have our hang-ups, right? I never knew until he sat me down and taught me tricks to use in the Triond forest that he had been turned into a Fegger by an evil witch. He made me laugh and took me in to help with finding myself. I obviously thought I knew who I was but I guess that wasn't true. My first indication would have been the ugly fight outside the king's cottage. I had a lot of bitterness toward that mean old fairy king and that is why I was beating myself up. I thanked the king for his vast knowledge of the human mind and kissed him sweetly. But the king couldn't linger, for he had some arguments to settle within the walls of the city. And with a wink of his eye, he disappeared. I walked from the little cottage back out into the fast growing night. I was alone--no little black devils this time either. I thought about what he said to me and frowned.

I was deep in tranquil thought, leaving my dark half in the background for the moment. I simply paced outside the cottage with all the rushing thoughts baraging my restless mind. I walked into the tree line and sat down hard upon the ground. My little black tutu bounced up sending faerie dust everywhere. Putting my head in the palm of my hand, I began to comtemplate serious things.

"Wow!" I thought, "what am I to do now?"

The darkness returned to me suddenly and my tears began to fall. The night inside me crept up to join the darkness of my surroundings. I exhaled and looked up into the dark sky. They were all there winking at me; those silly little stars. I nudged a smile and winked back. "Ah, but you are just jealous because you can't come down from there, you little bastards."

As I watched the sky in interest, an orb began to appear from the corner of the heavens. It moved slowly downward and the sky grew light. I couild hear a strange grunting sound as the orb bounced off the treetops and continued its descent. My fascination sent me jumping to my feet with a tilt of my head. "Golly gosh, what the fairies ass is that?"

The light descended down through the trees and onto the ground where it hovered there pulsing. I watched intently as it shown so bright through the underbrush. I shook in my little fairy boots at the sight of it. Then it spoke.

"Hey--who are you?" The light trembled at the sound of its own voice. "What are you doing in these bad ole woods, dude?"

The voice was gentle and friendly and it welcomed me to approach. I walked closer hugging a little gray sapling. "I..I ...I am Spirit..I am daark faerie."

The light shook convulsively and made a strange whining noise. "Ah--Spirit dude, nice to meet you. Wont you come fly in the sky with me a bit. I can show you around the area. Do not worry, I am a friendly being and sometimes I tell a joke or two." the Orb chuckled.

"Who are you?" I asked balling up my tiny fists and stepping forward bravely.

The Orb changed color and shone brightly in an instant. "I am Duff, a peaceful being. Well, except for when I battle giant wombats..eck, they are nasty creatures. You wouldn't want to battle a wombat." The Orb shook slightly and changed colors again.

Before I could respond to this obvious hallucination, a short man stepped from the shadows and began to bicker. No, I couldn't understand a word he said but I knew it wasn't very friendly. He was an ugly little fucker, with hair growing out of his ears and big bulbous knots covering his face. He made a grimace and laughed hartily. He appeared to be a troll from some of the stories my mother told me. As I watched him in curiosity, he strutted around like a damn peacock and then bent to pick up some stones. I stared toward the light in question but got no answer. Spinning around the little creature threw a large stone at me, striking me right between the eyes. The last thing I remember was the Orb swelling as I fell to the ground.

I am unaware of how much time passed before I woke but it seemed like days. I awoke at an unknown time with a bright light shining into my eyes. I was kind of pissed at first because of the blinding radiance that was invading my pupils. "Damn, turn the light off, for Puck's sake, I can't see a damn thing."

As the light dimmed, I rose and looked around. The Orb was still flashing by the trees and emitting a rather strange giggling sound.

"Whew, I am quite relieved you are okay--Spirit dude. I thought I was gonna have to smack you to wake you and I think that might have left a burn." The Orb was still. "You will not have to worry about that guy again--I ate him."

I gasped and clutched at the front of my 'that's hot' t-shirt and looked at the Orb in horror. "You did what?"

The Orb chuckled and wiggled in the light breeze. "It is okay spirit dude, I eat those little things, or rather, I absorb them."

The Orb burped loudly and my hair blew all over my head from the wind off his being.

I rose and smiled. "You know, I thank you and I believe you are just the person to show me around this place. Do you know who that little shit was that popped me in my head?" I ran a hand over my forehead feeling the rather big knot pulsing between my eyes. My eyes crossed trying to see the wound.

The Orb chuckled. "I think, my dear faerie friend, that you just met your first troll."

I smirked. "wow! That is nice."

I want to skip ahead a bit to pay homage to some friends of mine. I want to tell a story about the forest that I have come to live in since my exile from the faerie realm. The Triond Enchanted Forest.

It was a year ago when I came to the place I call home. On a cold winter's day, I happened upon a little trail which led away from my usual fluttering grounds. As I was peering deep into the opening of the trail... I felt a tingling curiosity. I had to know what lie at the other end of that wooded path. So, I skipped down the road without a care. Except for the fact that I was a little pissy because of the rabbit that kept thumping my head all morning as I slept. Guess he was just twitterpated.

I heard growls and barks and even little weird screeches as I neared a clearing. There, nestled in the corner of the clearing was a cottage with smoke coming from the chimney. Ummm, warmth called to me as I smiled. I crept up to the little home and peered through the window. And what did I behold but a little furry animal sitting on a recliner reading a book. I could have sworn it was a big dog. It was brown with long floppy ears and the shiniest brown eyes. But something was odd about this dog. He was somehow grimacing in a face much like a human. His expressions were throwing me off a bit so I stepped back and had a little talk with myself.

"Spirit, this is not an ordinary dog." I said
Spirit replied, "I agree but I think we should meet him."
"Oh, I don't know..he looks kinda scary dont you think?" I said
Spirit replied. "Not really;I think he is kind of cute to be honest."
"You think everybody is cute bitch." I said.
Spirit gasped. "You litttle twit...I am not a whore!"

And at that statement, I began to fight myself. I rolled upon the floor biting my arms and kicking my own ass. I had forgotten all about the little creature in the cottage and had proceeded to beat the living daylights out of myself. Just as I was going to give myself a black eye, I heard a mocking voice from behind me.

"Crap...just rubbish!!"

The voice sounded rather stern and disapproving and it only angered me more. I stood straightening my tutu and walked around to the other side of the cottage. I tilted my head and i stared in disbelief at the little floating black devil. He smiled and twisted his pointed tail around his nubby feet.

"Who the fuck are you??" I asked licking the blood from my busted lip.

The little devil grinned again and repeated his evil words. "I think it is crap!"

Confused and out of breathe I questioned him. "What is crap?"

"This....is crap!" He brought a peice of paper from behind his back and threw it to my feet. I stared in curiosity a the little wrinkled peice of post it note lying in the mud.

Without much thought i bent and picked up the note and read it frowning. "How did you get this you little shit?" I looked at the floating devil and back down to the poem I had written the night before, while lying on my mushroom. He had somehow got my post it note and ran away with it. Silly little back biting thieving dark angel had just went and done it.

Before I could say another word, the demon disappeared in a rather nasty poof and I was left standing outside the door of the little cottage. The dog had left his seat and was coming toward the door with an irritated look in his eyes. I stood staring into the darkness as the mut opened the door and cleared his throat.

Instead of yelling at me for being so loud or pointing his finger at me for being so rude; the furry little animal smiled and titled his head. "Why hello there pretty little lady."

Shocked and a little taken a-back, I turned and fluttered my wings. "uh...hello."

"Oh my goodness, you are not a lady...you are a beautiful faerie...have you come to take this curse from me?" The dog man looked at me with hopeful eyes and licked his muzzle.

"What?" I couldn't speak;still in shock from the altercation with myself and the floating devil.

"You look tired my dear. Why don't you join me for a cup of tea or coffee; whatever your pleasure." The dog smiled and held out his furry paw.

In spite of my wariness, I agreed and lay my wings down against my shoulder entering the small cottage door. "I ...sure...that sounds nice. Thank you.

The furry creature took my hand and led me into his home then stopped and turned around. "I welcome you to my humble home. What is your name?"

"Spirit...spirit the daark faerie."

He smiled showing his little sharp teeth. "Oh, that's nice. I like faeries. My name is Fegger."

Once, long long ago, there was a small farm on the edge of a small southern town. Yes, I said small twice but who cares. A little family had a little baby and they put it down to sleep without any reason for alarm.

Into the night creeped four daark faeries carrying a bundle of something magically rejected. Yes, a little faerie baby which the faerie king sought to kick out of his kingdom...bastard. He thought he could syphon her exceptional powers of persuasion for use of his own. Ha! Little Kimana wasn't haiving any such thing from that selfish ruler even if he was the king of ALL the daark faeries. When she bit down on his thumb with her little faerie fangs, she immediately drew out all his phallic abilities...ha ha ha ha. Let's just say , that king wont be knocking any faerie boots for awhile.

Needless to say, the four faeries slipped up to the little farm house and switched those babies when no one was looking. Well, no-one but my little shit human brother. Actually, he is my big brother but he is still a little shit. He saw the whole thing, he did...right up looking out of the attic window that night. Yes, he tells me about it all the time.

My human mother went through alot of therapists who finally convinced her that I was really her daughter. She denied it until they put her on a bunch of antidepreesants and electro shock. Poor poor mother, I kinda liked her then...she was like a little kid. Father didn't really question much after I dusted him when he came to get me from the nursery the night after my human counterpart was abducted. Daddy was always cool...until he started taking me to have my wing nubs clipped.

The first appointment consisted of many x-rays and blood tests. The doctor frowned at me alot when her told my parents that I had absorbed my twin in the womb. That was some funny shit. My extremely powerful gift of lucid memory allowed me to retain alot of funny shit from my infancy. I don't know if it is a curse or some sort of dark and dismal gift to filll my hollowness. Then he ordered the maintenance of clipping the little growths from my back on a routine basis. And he said some work would have to be done on my ears as well for the next couple of weeks. Let me tell you something, I am a tough little fairy but do you know how irritating it is to get your back sliced on twice a month and wear silly little bandages on your ears. It is a bitch, I tell you. And when your instincts tell you to fly and you jump up and fall face down on the ground; you begin to fantacize about clipping somethings from some dear dear human people you love.

Basically, I deal with this my own way and try not to poison too many on my way to the faerie destination dwelling in a little pretend human body. It isn't easy being irresistable and trying not to think about what you humans call 'sex' but I am working on it. You see, it is my nature to be the way I am, to drain, to feed. Hell, what do you think these little damn fangs are for...opening bottles or something.

So, go ahead, bow down and get it over with so I do take your virility away. It would be the smart thing to do...and remember ....I love you!

I HAVE ARRIVED!

The Dark Faerie is here now, obey me all of you!
